And even as I wander, I'm keepin' you in sight...

4 Months

In 4 months, I'll finally head for my 3rd, yet most treasured home. I'll get to see all of those kids' smiling faces, spend a few weeks getting to know a whole new set of staff members, and rekindle friendships made last summer.

Some may say "you just have your camp goggles on." You may be right, but are the goggles really to blame if camp hasn't even started yet?

Small conversations here and there, texting, and video chatting fewer times than I'd like.

I don't know why, and I wouldn't be hurt if it didn't pan out, but I'd still like to try. Even if it only lasts 9-10 weeks total, and we both end up going our own separate ways after that.

I just won't know until we get there.

I can't wait to see you. The together part is secondary and unimportant, but seeing you in person, it's certainly going to be the pleasant part.

I know this.

Safe travels, Snidely Whiplash. See you in 4 months.

Your Hands

I'm not where I want to be in life right now.

The world is trying to tell me "tough luck, kiddo."

Well, you know what?

Something told me to "Make it with your hands!" I'm not sure what exactly.

I'll shape everything I've dreamed with my sweaty fingers, if I have to.

I'll have to.

I'll do it.

I'll make it with my hands, what will you make with yours?

Fruitless Hunt

I've applied to at least 15 to 20 different sales related establishments...and nothing. Tomorrow, I try the whole process over again.

*sigh*

Maybe Pike Place Market has a website. I'd love to see my artwork for sale there.
I just need enough money to pay for my plane tickets, my student loan payments, and gas now and again.

It's not asking for much.

I truly wish I could live without money...and just be sustained by the love of my friends.

In an ideal world, I could...but this one always makes me feel like somewhat of a failure.

I'll have to change that!

For Now

I just don't have the strength or want to give much back...but it's all about how you advertise yourself, I suppose.

I have friends that love me, and in return I love them back.
Friends hardly do anything to make you mad, but it occasionally happens, and you make up, live happily until the next thing you disagree about. It's a cycle that is reasonably easy to endure/go through, especially when you agree to endure it together. Honestly.

That's what love should be like.

I wouldn't mind the "no matter what" feeling, but I won't demand it from anyone...or force it down anyone's throat. So, don't force it down mine.

I've had a mostly ache-free year so far. At least nothing that didn't pass.

"He broke up with me over Facebook."
"He cheated on me."
"He left me a note, but I agreed with him."
"He thought I was just too much for him."
"She just stopped loving me, and I guess she never did, otherwise I'd be able to notice when she stopped if she ever did."

I've heard it all, and I've been the shoulder. Glad to.

It'd just be nice to hear someone say, "This may suck, but I'll try if you will...and I can tell right now, you're worth trying for."

Ya know?

But till then, I'll be the shoulder...like in a FRIENDS episode.

Musically Inspired Jewelry

Recycle This

I wish I could decorate houses with nothing but recycled pieces of treasure. Long live the flea market, Swap meets, Goodwill, and Salvation Armies of America. I hear there's a flea market that's huge in Eugene, OR every once in a while.

If a job doesn't bite...maybe I should commission my artwork, try to make a buck or two.
